A light and fluffy fall-inspired dessert that tastes like pumpkin pie filling, made by whipping plain Greek yogurt with heavy cream, pumpkin puree, and warm spices, sweetened with pure maple syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole milk or 2% plain Greek yogurt (e.g., Fage)
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (at least 36% milk fat)
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1/3 cup canned pumpkin (unsweetened pumpkin puree only)

Instructions

  1. Chill the mixing bowl and beaters in the fridge for 10–15 minutes (optional).
  2. Place all ingredients except the canned pumpkin into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or use a hand mixer.
  3. Mix on low speed for 20 seconds to blend the heavy cream and yogurt.
  4. Increase to high speed and whip for about 90 seconds to 2 minutes.
  5. Stop the mixer, scrape down the sides and bottom with a spatula, then whip another 2–3 minutes until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the canned pumpkin into the whipped mixture by hand until fully combined.
  7. Transfer the pumpkin spice whipped Greek yogurt into individual containers or a serving bowl.
  8. Refrigerate for 3–4 hours to thicken before serving.

Notes

Chilling the mixing bowl and beaters helps achieve a lighter, fluffier texture., Use full-fat or 2% plain Greek yogurt and heavy cream with at least 36% fat for best results., Add the canned pumpkin only after whipping the cream and yogurt to keep the airy texture., Over-whipping can cause graininess; fold in a tablespoon of yogurt or chilled cream to fix if needed., This whipped yogurt can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days; do not freeze to maintain texture., Optional mix-ins include vanilla protein powder, spices like nutmeg or cloves, cocoa powder for a chocolate twist, or crunchy toppings like granola or pecans.
