Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats, divided
  • 3 cups almond milk, divided
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder, divided
  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter, divided
  • 8 teaspoons honey (or maple syrup for vegan option), divided

Instructions

  1. Divide 1/2 cup rolled oats, 3/4 cup almond milk, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon peanut butter, and 2 teaspoons honey into each individual container, or combine all ingredients in a large bowl to portion later.
  2. Stir everything really well until combined. Seal the containers and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Let the oats sit for at least 3 hours or preferably 8–12 hours to soften and absorb the liquid.
  4. Before eating, stir the oats and add 1–2 tablespoons of almond milk if the mixture is too thick.
  5. Top with desired toppings such as sliced banana, berries, nuts, seeds, extra nut butter, or chocolate chips just before serving.

Notes

Optional add-ins include 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds per container and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for added texture and flavor., To avoid clumpy cocoa powder, sift it before mixing or whisk into the milk first., Warm peanut butter briefly if too thick to blend more smoothly., Store oats in sealed containers in the fridge for 4–5 days; best eaten within a couple of days for optimal texture and flavor., Warm oats by microwaving for 30–60 seconds or heating gently on the stove with extra milk if desired., Protein can be boosted by adding protein powder, collagen, chia, or flax seeds.
